This image showcases a typical day in the life of the youth in Madagascar - eating fresh mangoes with your hands and feet in the sand.
This young girl and her family lived next door to the NGO's camp I was working at in Southwest Madagascar.
This local Vezo man spontaneously took me on a tour of his village - Ambolomailaka. He introduced me to his family and urged me to sample some of the local cuisine, which included raw mussels and sea urchin roe - both delicacies in many parts of the world. Without me asking (we didn't speak a lick of each other's languages either way) he walked out into the surf and posed on this bit of driftwood for a quick photo op.
